Method and limits

  • Parties included: those that won at least one seat in the June 2024 European elections in the 27 EU countries. Results are list results: for a party in an alliance, the result of the joint list.
  • Group: the one its MEPs sit in today, from European Parliament open data (as of 2026-11-01).
  • Left-right position and EU stance: averages from the 2024 Chapel Hill Expert Survey (609 political scientists). It is an expert estimate, not a truth: one number sums up economic and social positions that can differ a lot.
  • The same group does not mean identical parties: Germany’s CDU and France’s Les Républicains both sit in the EPP without sharing a programme.
  • Logos: Wikimedia Commons, public domain or free licence; a party without a free logo is shown by its acronym.
